Description
How it works
The PDM single shaft high speed disperser is the standard dissolver for wet dispersion of liquid-solid suspensions. A sawtooth disc mounted on the dispersing shaft rotates at high speed and creates strong shear, impact and turbulence that breaks agglomerates and wets out powder. Frequency control gives stepless speed adjustment from 0 up to 1450 rpm (1200 rpm on the larger units), so shear can be matched to material viscosity. Hydraulic lifting moves the head clear of the vessel for fast colour change, cleaning and maintenance. It is widely used for paints, coatings, inks, pigments, dyestuffs and similar chemical slurries. Standard configuration includes a Siemens or equivalent inverter-duty TEFC motor, a hydraulic lift station, VFD stepless speed control, and laser-cut stainless steel sawtooth discs. Units can be supplied for 380V / 415V / 460V three-phase supply to match your plant. For solvent-based and hazardous-area duties, explosion-proof motors, control panels and interlocks are available; water-based materials can use standard non-explosion-proof motors. Matching single- or double-layer vessels, jacketed for heating or cooling, are supplied as required. Not sure which power or disc size matches your vessel? Read our
